HIGHLIGHTS
• THE PROBLEM
Lack of Transparency Impacts Consumer Trust
There are bunch of brands that are just spamming their products instead of becoming transparent which has impacted brand loyalty. Limited transparency in product information, and a disconnect between consumer preferences and available choices also impacted consumer satisfaction.
These issues hindered the ability to meet the evolving needs of health-conscious consumers and resulted in a gap between market demand and product offerings.
• RESEARCH & PAIN POINTS
User Research: Summary
During the research phase, my primary objective was to understand the motivations behind consuming unhealthy snacks despite awareness of their consequences, as well as to identify the challenges faced by individuals seeking to incorporate/buy healthier snack options online.
User Research: Pain Points
Lack of awareness and education. Lack of awareness of benefits and nutritional info. about healthy snacks leads to poor purchasing decisions, often favoring unhealthy options.
Personalized Snack Preferences. Consumers seek personalized recommendations and customization options tailored to their dietary preferences and health goals.
Perception of taste, quality and cost. People perceive healthy snacks as less tasty than processed ones, and they worry about quality, freshness, and cost when ordering online.
Trust and safety concerns. People distrust unfamiliar websites/brands, worried about authenticity, reliability, safety, sustainability, and ingredients.
Lack of transparency. No transparency among the ingredients and nutritional info. as well as insufficient information related to product.
ADDITIONAL FINDINGS
Peer pressure, stress-driven cravings, and long unhealthy snacking habits discourage individuals from opting for healthier snack choices.

What I learned
The main thing that I learned is, we should always keep in mind the specific problem that we are aiming to solve, otherwise we would end up coming up with wrong solutions even if they are unique.
